Alrighty! So the MTC is the best!!!! I have learned so freaking
much about the gospel in the past 10 days than I have in like ever. Also
I have never been more tired in my life. SO TIRED but SO GOOD. The
people in my district are awesome. I feel like I've known them for years
as opposed to days. It's pretty funny, we all think each other is
hilarious because, when all you have is one another for entertainment for
13 hours a day, things get pretty crazy. But really though, I love them
like they were my own, haha. I'm a dork.
So the first day of instruction
was last Thursday and it was one of the hardest days of my life. Like I
said before, I have never been so exhausted. When you are focusing so
diligently and for so long on spiritual things and on the gospel for
hours on end and waking up at 5:40
everyday, you lose energy fast. But I came to realize this amazing
little secret about not getting tired:  Focus on other people. Really
though, it works miracles. When you are sitting there thinking about how
tired you are and how much of the day you have left, then things can look
a little grim, but once you change your focus to the needs of others
it's like all of the negative things disappear and happiness ensues.
 Oh the joys of service.
Since being here I have come to appreciate the
little things for sure, like when you don't know something and you just
get on a computer and google it. Now I have to ask around until I figure
it out or just be content with not knowing it. Also family and friends.
My dears, please cherish one another, you never know when you might
lose those you love. Tell people what they mean to you, give sincere
compliments, forget yourself and how it might be awkward and say things
from the heart. It is such a privilege we have to have family and
friends that surround and love us, BE GRATEFUL!! I have like zero time
to say anything more other than I know that God loves each and every one
of us. If I have gathered nothing else from my time here it's that. He
is all knowing, all powerful and most of all, all loving. Let him show
his love for you. I love you all and I will update again at a later
time.

Love reading your blog this morning Chelsea! This sounds like such a wonderful experience you are embarking on and I look forward to reading more about your experiences. You are so right, when we focus more on the needs of others we learn to appreciate the things in our own lives and focus on the positive. Family and friends are the most valuable things in our lives and should truly be cherished always. Many blessings to you during your journey. Love you, Lisa, Michael and Isabella
